Broken In
Hi,

I have ubuntu 7.1 installed on my system. Today I accidentally deleted the swap partition for ubuntu. Now every time I boot into ubuntu it asks me to manually repair the file system. Can anyone help me in doing so....

Thanks in advance

P.S.: I had 2 swap partitions, one of which was from the previous installation of ubuntu which was on my old hard disk(the one that got deleted). The 2nd swap is still there.

You could have used one swap for two or more OS. Maybe use GParted Live CD to repair/create/resize the partitions ,etc.

There is no need to have two swap partitions... append this to your /etc/fstab
Code:
/dev/<partition> swap swap defaults 0 0
Replace <partition> by your your 2nd swap partition
