    I have chosen this config for my new pc, I like playing games, but i don't have that much of a budget to buy a top notch machine hardware. also suggest me if you have a better config.

    1GB DDRII 667MHz RAM(transcend)
    160 or 200 GB SATAII (7,200 RPM) HDD (Samsung)
    Inspire 4.1 (4400) speakers system
    17'' inch monitor (samsung)
    DVD writer (liteon, or Sony)
    Gainward 6600GT graphics card (suggest some other within same price range)
    Intel DG965wh mainboard or MSI P965 Platinum or MSi P965 Neo-F
    Intel core2duo E6400
    Intex cabinet Pulsar with 560 w powersupply
    or spice or matrix

    please give me the prices of each component. thanks in advance :)

    Instead of 6600GT get a 7600GS which gives equal to better performance, with added features.

    Also, is that monitor LCD?

    if i use pentium d 925, will it fry all my components,,, because i read somewhere in this forum that it's the hottest proccy intel could produce ;)., that's why i was planning to purchase c2d.
    I play games and do various encoding tasks as well + some multimedia work too.

    Ok I have talked to an assembler in Delhi,
    He quoted me following prices.
    HDD SATA 160 GB samsung -> 2850
    Creative 4.1 speakers(4400) -> 2450
    Monitor 17" samsung (dynaflat) -> 5850
    a geforce 7600gs based graphics card -> 6950
    Mobo (DG965RYCK) -> 6800
    Pentium D 925(3.0 GHz) -> 6900
    DVD writer 16x (sony boxed one) -> 1950
    1GB RAM (533 MHz) -> 5600
    Intex royal cabinet with 400w power supply -> 1425

    I was surprised to hear from him that there is no such thing like SATA II , he also told me that SATA does not have any RPM, i was told DG965WH is not available in Delhi ( i doubt seriously).
    Please help me, Are the rates specified above fair enough.?.. I think he is charging extra on mobo, proccy, monitor and graphcs card.
    please provide some help on the prices above (according to delhi only) and if anyone knows a good assembler in east delhi.

    one more thing, I have a six year old 15" monitor, will that work properly with my new machine or not... I play a lot of games (not hight end but FIFA, and FPS games like RTCW). will it's refresh rate be enough to hold the graphics card.or should i purchase a new one.
    help urgent. thanks

    Ok this config look good except minor changes...

    Instead of 6400 go for 6300 both have same cache and OC it to 6700
    6300...8500 or less
    Invest the money saved in a better mobo ie
    GA-965G-DS3 Gigabyte. Absolute stunner after P5B deluxe but is cheaper......8000-8500
    You can still OC and save by going for P5B vanilla board, but I'd suggest DS3

    http://www.gigabyte.com.tw/Products/Motherboard/Products_Overview.aspx?ProductID=2361

    Graphic card 7600GS.....6-7K or 7300GT <4K

    Now DS3 is a sexy overclocker. You can OC your 6300 to 3Ghz+ with this board which would give you blazing performance and far better than any config on this thread. Now lets see how much did this count for

    C2D 6300......8500
    1GB DDRII 667MHz RAM(transcend).....7K should be less
    160 SATAII....2.5K
    Inspire 4.1....2.5K .......I'd prefer ATP3 even though they are 2.1 but are far far FAR better than Inspire
    17'' inch monitor (samsung).....4.5K
    DVD writer(Sony).....2K
    Graphic card 7600GS.....6-7K or 7300GT <4K (m talking 6500 figure)
    Zebronics PEACE gaming cabinet with 400W PSU...2200

    http://www.zebronics.net/gamingcabin.asp

    Model at the top of the page is Zebronics PEACE gaming cab. Sexy cab with 2 LED fans and a Temp display.
    ============================================
    TOTAL 35700~36000 +- 1000
    ============================================

    Now this config would be ROCKING (with good looks too)once you OC your C2D to 3Ghz. Heck even if you don't OC it still would be a rocking config.

    Happy Assembling.....:)

    Well prices by your vender are more or less ok but that config as I said is not worth the money. OC never damages your hardware if done correctly, even if you do go wrong the hardware I suggested is smart enough to protect it. Lastly yes zebronics cabinet has 2 front USB Ports a mic and a headphone option. Now is it available in east delhi or not I am not sure but yes its available in Nehru Place.

    ok, but price of monitor is 5950 and you are saying it's costing around 4.5 k
    that mobo gigabyte ds3 is about 12000 rs. :(
    "sam9s", will purchasing a DG965WH or DG965RYCk do the trick or not.?

    DS3 "12000" are you kidding even digit nov issue has the price as 11000. You can easily deduct 2-3K from digit price and on the top of that its a 2 month old price. Check out properly. Heck even P5B Delux wifi is not 12000 now. You located at Delhi right, so I am talking about NP prices. Monitor 17" should not be more that 5K. DG965WH is good board but its an Intel board, Intel officially does not support overclocking, though they have given C2D one hell of an OC processor, how ironic. Neeway as I said Intel does not support OC officialy so Intel boards have no garuntee that they will OC well, otherwise they are good boards.
    If DS3 is not available go for any P5B board, P5B-V, P5B-VM, P5B-E, P5B plain all are good OCs. P5W-DH is also good.

    This link should make your decision easy....

    Digit October issue rates 6600 GT having a better performance than 7300 GS.
