I have chosen this config for my new pc, I like playing games, but i don't have that much of a budget to buy a top notch machine hardware. also suggest me if you have a better config.

1GB DDRII 667MHz RAM(transcend)
160 or 200 GB SATAII (7,200 RPM) HDD (Samsung)
Inspire 4.1 (4400) speakers system
17'' inch monitor (samsung)
DVD writer (liteon, or Sony)
Gainward 6600GT graphics card (suggest some other within same price range)
Intel DG965wh mainboard or MSI P965 Platinum or MSi P965 Neo-F
Intel core2duo E6400
Intex cabinet Pulsar with 560 w powersupply
or spice or matrix

please give me the prices of each component. thanks in advance :)

Instead of 6600GT get a 7600GS which gives equal to better performance, with added features.

Also, is that monitor LCD?

if i use pentium d 925, will it fry all my components,,, because i read somewhere in this forum that it's the hottest proccy intel could produce ;)., that's why i was planning to purchase c2d.
I play games and do various encoding tasks as well + some multimedia work too.

Ok I have talked to an assembler in Delhi,
He quoted me following prices.
HDD SATA 160 GB samsung -> 2850
Creative 4.1 speakers(4400) -> 2450
Monitor 17" samsung (dynaflat) -> 5850
a geforce 7600gs based graphics card -> 6950
Mobo (DG965RYCK) -> 6800
Pentium D 925(3.0 GHz) -> 6900
DVD writer 16x (sony boxed one) -> 1950
1GB RAM (533 MHz) -> 5600
Intex royal cabinet with 400w power supply -> 1425

I was surprised to hear from him that there is no such thing like SATA II , he also told me that SATA does not have any RPM, i was told DG965WH is not available in Delhi ( i doubt seriously).
Please help me, Are the rates specified above fair enough.?.. I think he is charging extra on mobo, proccy, monitor and graphcs card.
please provide some help on the prices above (according to delhi only) and if anyone knows a good assembler in east delhi.

one more thing, I have a six year old 15" monitor, will that work properly with my new machine or not... I play a lot of games (not hight end but FIFA, and FPS games like RTCW). will it's refresh rate be enough to hold the graphics card.or should i purchase a new one.
help urgent. thanks

But ASUS P5B Deluxe/WiFi-AP board is based on P965 chipset, meaning I'll have to purchase a graphics card(can't afford it right now, will purchase it after sometime)., or only the board will do? i.e. there's no necessity to add an additional card. please help.
I am planning to buy gigabyte GA-965G-DS3 but which version i should buy rev. 1.0 or rev. 2.0, will i be able to add additional pci-ex graphics card later,? please suggest.
