2) What size & weight consideration (if any) would you prefer?


Mainstream; 15" - 16" screen




3) Are there any brands that you prefer or any you really don't like?
it will be my first laptop so don't really know about brands
but
DISLIKE: Toshiba , HCL , Sony(costly)


4) What are the primary tasks will you be performing with this notebook?
Well i am a 2nd Year (4th sem) software engineer student so basically programming , editing , browsing , music , full hd movies , multitasking like two browser opened with 15 tabs and music running background and a 800 video file converting in video converting software to .divx format. , can play games like diablo III , GTA IV or may be upcoming GTA V... or may be according to my interests i may do some intensive editing based software ..


5) What screen resolution(s) & type (glossy/matte) would you prefer?
I doesn't know much but standard 1366X768 resolution will Okay


6) Anything else you would like to say? (eg: local purchase, ASS,matte/glossy finish)
If liked the product by seeing personally (or by a proper video review explaining every feature will satisfy) order online too or can buy locally too no problem..


Minimum HDD ;
500 GB

Minimum RAM;
4GB

Want dedicated Graphics: minimum : Yes , 1GB(ATI radeon , not NVIDIA because NVDIA Graphics is not good as ATI one built on amd laptops)
SO no to INTEL built in Graphics and Nvdia Graphics

Processor :
amd trinity a8 because of providing good specs at low price
or may be i3..
not i5 because with dedicated graphics it costs more then 36k.

OS:
can sacrifice original windows for lowering the price..

I Need Future Proof Laptop which i can use more then 2.5 Years without any major problems.. and a Good Care support..


SO according to these specs :
i have shortlisted these laptops have a look and please help me in deciding to which should i go for :

1) Samsung NP355V5C-S05IN Laptop (APU Quad Core A8/ 6GB/ 1TB/ Win8/ 1.5GB 512 MB AMD Radeon HD 7640G(Integrated) and 1 GB HD 7670M Dual Graphics (Dedicated)

> It has impressive 6GB RAM , 1TB HDD , Win8 , 1.5 GB Graph(512 MB AMD Radeon HD 7640G(Integrated) and 1 GB HD 7670M Dual Graphics) and it has 2 USB 3.0 and 2 USB 2.0 PORTS total= 4 USB PORTS..

but in FK it is not so much popular as other amd laptops of its competition like HP Pavilion G6-2005AX Laptop which is indeed much popular .. why so ??
is there any faults in samsung laptop or this is due to the reason of lower price ??

within the price of 32.9 i am getting 750 GB HDD, 4GB RAM , 1 GB AMD Radeon HD7670M found in earlier Samsung laptop of amd , Windows 7 HB but Intel i3(2nd gen.)..
well this is the doubt and problem... it has 2nd gen. i3 not 3rd gen but it is also 2.5 or 3k cheaper then 3rd gen. i3 with same specs..

OTHERS LAPTOPS YOU CAN SUGGEST ACCORDING TO THE FEATURES I HAVE WRITTEN...

I can also go for less HDD and Ram to reduce price so that i can expand these two locally for cheap if i am getting better deal..

go for hp g6 2301ax (locally for 33k) or the Samsung one you've pointed out both are good .
Popularity of 2005ax must be due to the fact that its one of the first trinity laptops to hit desi markets

The difference b/w hp and Samsung one is that hp has 1gb extra graphics memory as compared to 1.5Gb graphics memory of Samsung..
and also Samsung comes cheap with 1TB HDD and also don't you think 1.5 Graphics is enough ???
will it has backlit keyboard ???

1GB graphics memory is more than what a 7670m can possibly use, and 1TB is better, get samsung.

Nope, samsung laptops(NP550 series) had terrible heating issues, the NP300 series has no such issues reported so far, but I still don't trust them, I love Dell service.

First option is worth the extra cost.

i3 is a tad better than A8 in almost all tasks, except some maybe heavily multithreaded app: Intel Core i3-3110M Ivy Bridge versus i3-2370M Sandy Bridge (page 4: CPU performance: Cinebench, x264, Visual Studio) - BeHardware

actually sheet wise specs i am happy with that samsung laptop mentioned in main post of pont 1 i.e. amd one..
but have not seen any review until now by someone thats why doubting on it..
if somebody has that laptop then please post a review... ita reliable as hp ?

Also on flipkart it is not mentioned that if it has turbo boost technology or not...
So i it has no turbo boost means i can't overclock this upto 2.8Ghz..
can anyone provide light on this...

@akki17kr - my friend, if i am correct, then the amd processors do not have turbo boost. and you wont need it in a laptop anyway. and as i have mentioned t is safe to buy that amd samsung laptop. its a steal at this price. overheating can be taken care of, as can be throttling. you can buy that one.

oh sorry i mean turbo core technology up to 2.8ghz...
so it means that i cannot overclock it upto 2.8 like we can do in hp amd laptops ??
Well according to some reviews on flip kart a buyer reviewed that is build qualify is strictly okay not that good and also optical drive is questionable...

There is no caps lock and num logo light indicators.
The touch pad is sluggish...


And also on internet i am not able to find any reviews , also can't see it personally as local shopkeepers doesn't have amd laptops..

As there are many hp laptop reviews from which i can see detailed pictures but not able to see detailed pictures of this Samsung laptop...
So kindah... confused with this sammy lappy... :p

90% sure, but if samsung turned off turbo? I don't think its an option given by AMD to turn off turbo, but mail Samsung India support asap.

NP355V5C-S05IN on Samsung official site.. now from where should i'll able to
download the drivers for Samsung NP355V5C-S05IN laptop ??
Can i use Samsung NP355V5C-S03IN drivers (same as NP355V5C-S05IN with just RAM & HDD differebce) on Samsung NP355V5C-S05IN laptop
as Samsung NP355V5C-S03IN laptop is shown in Samsung official site and had drivers too but Samsung NP355V5C-S05IN isn't showing on Samsung site .

or else if u know from where should the drivers have to be downloaded ..give the link for drivers of Samsung NP355V5C-S05IN laptop

So previous night i emailed Samsung for turbo core technology with 3 screenshots as attachments :-

i want to know if these two Samsung NP355V5C-S05IN and Samsung NP355V5C-S03IN Laptops has Turbo Core Technology to overclock the amd a8 processor clock speed from default 1.9ghz to 2.8ghz?? As with same hardware the other laptops of other brands like asus , hp has this Turbo Core Technology
and also the amd APU Quad Core A8 4500M has official feature of Turbo Core Technology but on searching on Google and by seeing its specs it is not mentioned even on Samsung official site and Samsung e store site too
just clear my doubt.. as it should has Turbo Core Technology feature which is not written in specs ..


In attachments 1 and 2 are of Samsung models depicting the processor details without the turbo boost feature and 3rd screenshot is of asus laptop of same hardware as of these two Samsung laptops but with turbo core technology so as official amd a8 has this feature so why not mentioned in these Samsung laptops ??
