Solution for first spyware:

The easiest way I have found to remove surf sidekick is through the add and remove programs in the control panel. However some drive by installs make this option unavailable. Therefore to remove it you have a couple of options

If SurfSideKick is not in Add or Remove Programs, do the following:

Open Windows Explorer and locate the following:

C:\Program Files\SurfSideKick
C:\Program Files\SurfSideKick 2
C:\Program Files\SurfSideKick 3

One or all may exist.

Click Start and then Run

Type "C:\Program Files\SurfSideKick 3\ssk.exe" /u where the folder name (SurfSideKick 3) corresponds to the folder name you found in the step above

Click OK

Enter the given security code (generated automatically by the uninstaller) click OK
Click on YES at the reboot prompt.

Solution for second spyware:

MANUAL REMOVAL:

1. Download the Smitrem.exe( *www.precisesecurity.com/adware-spy/smitRem.exe ) (version 2.8) file from noahdfear and save it to your "Desktop" or any part of your hard drive.

2. Double click to extract the files to the folder it will created.

3. Restart the computer in "Safe Mode"

4. Double click on "RunThis.bat" to start the scan process.

5. Follow the prompts and completely scan your computer.

6. In order to make sure that trojan spy.html.smithfraud.c is completely eliminated from your computer, carry out a full scan of your computer using AntiVirus( *www.precisesecurity.com/computer-antivirus.htm) and Antispyware Software( *www.precisesecurity.com/computer-antispy.htm ). Another way to delete the virus using various Antivirus Program without the need to install can be done with Online Virus Scanner( *www.precisesecurity.com/antivirus/online-scan.htm ).

Reply me if any problem...........

i have read that article on *talesfromthetechside.typepad.com/my_weblog/2006/02/surf_side_kick_.html

for the 1st spyware surfside
1.there are no entry in add-remove
2.there is only two files namely :SskBho.dll & SskCore.dll.there no
surfsidekick3.exe file .probably antispyware have deleted it.so it
give "window can not find specified file"

for the smitfraud
1.only spybot detects it,none of others detects it
2.there is only registry entries of smitfraud
HKEY_USERS\S-1-5-18\Software\SARS
HKEY_USERS\DEFAULT\Software\SARS

smitrem doesn't do any good

Hi,
Make Windows to show all files:-
Go to Start > My Computer. Go to Tools menu, click Folder Options. Uncheck Hide protected operating system files. Then, click to select the option Show hidden files and folders. Click Apply and then click OK to exit.

Download and install Ewido Security Suite v3.5. After download, double click on the file to launch the install process. During installation, under "Additional Options" uncheck "Install background guard" and "Install scan via context menu". Launch ewido by double-clicking the "e" icon on your desktop. The program will prompt you to update - click the "OK" button. On the left side of the main screen, click on "Update" and then click "Start Update". The update will start and a progress bar will show the updates being installed. After the updates are installed, you will see "Update Successful" in the lower left corner.
If you are having problems with the updater, use this link to manually update.
Exit Ewido when done - DO NOT perform a scan yet.

Boot in Safe Mode.

Run HijackThis and click Do only a System scan.
