Nero is the defacto standerd when it comes to CD Burning, CD burning and Nero are sysnoms to same term
However, as U have faced already, the Nero 6.6 is really big download, no online updates, & after installing it is well over 90MB, however what we forget that Nero comes with a lot of things bundled, like Cover designer,, backit Up, Soundtrax & Wave editor (by default), this more size is justified
However, waht if U require a Burner Only software, which does the burning job efficently like Nero, support all kind of burning u can think about & is still "Free"
Enter CDBurner XP Pro, a really good & developing CD Burning software, easy to use burnet only app, & it is very small compared to nero
Features
Download
What I liked in it is the integration with Explorer, & ease of use yet being small, it was given in CHip & digit already I guess, not a compleate Nero alternative as Nro comes with a lot of components, but a welcome change as for Indian Dialup users, downloading 30 MB nero everytime there is an update is really hard
EDIT: Better check your drive in the compatibility list

I have switched, works flawlessly with my Combo drive
