Softwares i frequently use :-



zonealarm - the only firewall i trust ... tho i never use antivirus/anti spyware ... i'd rather format my comp once in 3 mons than using these and slowing my comp. i dont have vvv imp data on my comp tho...i always believe in taking backup. i did find kaspersky AV nice tho. Norton pisses me off ...its just too heavy on resources....edward norton is my fav actor tho.



ad muncher- eats those irritating ads and popups..loads the page faster..its just so amazing !


eudora - my fav email client.

ypops- supports yahoo.com mail id on eudora for free


DU meter- gives me an idea of how much i surf in an hour/day/week/month...quite handy


winamp- who doesnt?


powerdvd- best to play dvds


Nero- for burning dvds and cds


babylon dictionary - quite handy if u install appropriate glossaries from the site


remindme- reminds me of the imp dates/bdates etc at startup ... i m just too bad when it comes to remembering dates


mailwasher pro- its fun... it bounces the mail to the spammer...i have configured my hotmail in it which hosts only spam...i dunno why i check it...but its fun bounching spam


getright- downloading manager...tho i might soon switch over to flashget again


avant- i think it has come before the mozillas and firefox' ...its just an addon to IE... but very powerful..i use IE only when in cafe


ms office - word excel..routine stuff..frontpage sometimes.


winace - most people use .rar compression formats these days...winzip doesnt support it... winace supports both rar and zip formats.. so does winrar but i prefer winace's interface.

last but not the least yahoo/msn messengers - part and parcel of my life .. tho i found google messenger's interface so simple yet so beautiful..like a girl without a makeup
