Hi...

My friend have a 4 GB USB Drive. He formatted it with some utility. But after formatting it shows size of 256 MB ONLY !!!!

What can I do? I even tried to use HP Format Utility but useless.

Is there any way to get original size back ??

Reply please....

buddy though i am not sure but i think that 4 GB USB Drive was actually of

size 256 MB it was projected as 4GB by modifying its firmware. I think this

USB drive would be chinese made . ASFAIK u can do nothing except if u have

warrenty for the same

someone correct me if i am wrong

nah, actually I've copied data more than 1 GB on drive first.

So, I don't think it is of less capacity :-(

Is there any other solution ?

& yes, I used MP3 Player partition utility on that. I make encrypted partition on it. But after formatting it shows only non-encrypted partition.

WHERE IS ENCRYPTED PARTITION ?????

well i think (not sure) u can use partion magic to check the exact size of the

USB drive or windows disk managment if u r able to see size as

4Gb simpley full format the USB using that software

by the way plz tell the comp name of usb and if u have warrenty for the

same replace it .
