    see my comp shuts down whenever i am doing certain things on my comp
    these include
    1)playing arcanum.
    2)installing xp.
    3)installing acrobat reader
    4)running virus scan
    etc
    these are few to name.
    i hav formatted my hardisk,but the problem persists .sometimes i can work for hours on my comp whenever i am doing work which is less demanding on my comp.i don't get any kind of notice ,like saving your work ,etc.it shut downs suddenly .help me.
    my system's configuration is
    1.7ghz,p4,384mb ddr ram ,

    mobo , add on cards , smps rating .... software
    tell us everything abt ur comp
    it couldnt be a virus im pretty sure of it
    maybe ur just overloadin ur smps
    how long have u had this ? have u upgraded ?
