To shut down.....

Right click on desktop & create a new shortcut....In the "location for the item" field type the following command:

shutdown.exe -s -t 0

Be careful about all the spaces & hyphens that r to b added. Click next to create the shortcut on ur desktop. Drag this shortcut to ur quicklaunch menu & u shall get ur "single click shutdown" button.....

For restarting the pc...the shortcut is

shutdown.exe -r -t -f 0

I am still trying to know how this thing is done to hibernate the PC....

I use winkey + u.....& then h.....Thats all I know for now.....

Thanks cvvikram & h_kunte. The hybernate & shutdown commands that you guys provided is working fine, although the restart command didn't work. But still, my purpose is solver. Thanks again.
