hi,
I got linux and windows xp installed on same pc but on different hard disk.

Both hard disks are connected, i got linux installed on hard disk 1 and xp installed on hard disk 2.

when i work in linux, i want to see files on other hard disk ie. windows files.

Is this possible????

Thanksss

U can mount windows XP partns by making a folder in /mnt/.edit ur /etc/fstab
and add the entry for automatic mounting @ bootup.but in ntfs type partn are readonly permissions as of now, though captive-ntfs soltn is available.
if ur using redhat/fedora u need to get ntfs rpms from *www.linux-ntfs.org/content/view/19/37/
Code:
suryan:/home/prakash# mkdir /mnt/win_C
suryan:/home/prakash# mount /dev/hdx /mnt/win_C
ie; mounted
suryan:/home/prakash# vim /etc/fstab
/dev/sda1 /mnt/win_C ntfs ro,umask=0222 0 0
Best of LUX
