Why are prices in $? Are you buying from here or the US?

Both WD and Seagate are equally good IMO. Just take the one which is cheaper.

AFAIK, seagate offers a 5 year warranty. Doesn't that speak something.
WD has a limited 1 yr warranty or am i mistaken?
If money is no constraint , get Hitachi. Go over to Tom's Hardware.
They rate Hitachi very high in performance.
WD is good if you plan to buy a Raptor (but get a cooling system along too)
I'll buy a Raptor when i have the money

The Hitachi 160GB 7K160 SATA II HDD which Tom has rated very highly is my favourite HDD - I like it so much that I bought 4 of them. They are fast silent and cool - perfect for external eSATA case usage.

No doubt the Seagate HDD is better, the two drives u are referring to, Seagate ST3300601U2-RK and WD WDG1U3200, the Seagate HDD has a 16Mb cache, whereas the WD HDD has a 8Mb cache, I dont know How many here have actually Use WD HDD's but believe me The Seagate HDD will take less CPU usage too, it might be costlier, but this Seagate HDD is a better option in all respects. Though u might want to get ST3300601CB-RK instead of ST3300601U2-RK, it will be better.
