the default time to skip scandisk in win xp is 10 sec
can we set it to 0 sec
so that we wont have to wait for extra 10 sec for the system to boot

Start -> Run and type regedit, nevigate to:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Session Manager

In right-side pane look for DWORD value named "AutoChkTimeOut", if its not there then simply create it and set its value to the seconds u want :wink:

PS: There is also another way to permanantly disable the startup scandisk in XP! Simply paste the following code in Notepad and save it with ne name and extension should be .reg, and then double-click on the file and the YES and OK!

Code:
Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Session Manager]
"BootExecute"=hex(7):41,41,41,41,41,41,41,41,41,41,41,41,41,41,41,41,41,41,41,41,41,41,00,00
