RF interfernce from pc.

Few channels on cable tv gets distorted whenever the pc is on. This happened after i replaced my 845 mobo with a new 865. What to do ?

You can't do anything Switch off the PC while watching TV.

On a serious note, you can try changing the power source of your TV.

Check for a option named "Spread Spectrum" on advanced setup on your BIOS. Enabling this settings sometimes solved the problem. Give it a try.

^ just now tried as u said, enabled spread spectrum but didn't help.

but i am having the same problem even with the tv tuner in my pc.

Yes, but it happens even if i disconnect and take the wire away from the pc.

Never happened with my earlier dead gigabyte 845gv mobo.

Also i have another new 810e mobo with the same problem, both from an unbranded manufacturer, not FCC compliant. The 810e seems to affect on different channels though.

Then it is clear that the MoBo is the culprit here. Change and use other, simple!

A suggestion- Always buy FCC compliant products.
