Removing icons from taskbar

Some programs on closing, minimize to the taskbar. I want the program to keep on running and NOT show in the taskbar... or anywhere on the screen.

Is there any way to do that??

You can hide the taskbar icons if necessary..
right click on taskbar, select properties, click customise beside "hide inactive icons", select the program there.. and select the option "Hide always"..
nyways, it will not completely remove it from taskbar..

yes i know that, i don't want to hide, i want to completely remove the program and it should still keep on running...
