registry cannot change

    whenever i run regedit or try to uninstall norton etc

    it give error registry cannot change and

    window restart please help

    If I had a webcam u could have seen me, before you
    if u r using XP then the current user may not have the permission to change it.... try loggin as the admin. and changing the permissions..

    if it was only the user privilege problem , it wouldn't have restarted. my guess is that yur PC is infected with the W32.Brontok virus, or one of it's variants. Check to see if Folder Options is also disabled in Windows Explorer. If so, it's definitely the virus.
    Check out google for the removal tool for the virus. the tool should remove it.
    Also, keep yur AntiVirus updated.
