    How do open a rar files? Which program is best suited for this kinds of files?

    try powerarchiver, it supports almost all compression formats including rar, zip, ace etc

    winrar is paid. use 7 zip. it is just as good

    7 zip is kool..... btw winrar is not paid its shareware.....
    u can reuse it after 30 days.. ;)
