if u wann better mobile network signal u can get an external antenna and connect it to your phone , but then your mobile phone will become a wired phone [ it'll cost only about 500 rupees]

or u can connect a internal signal booster to the external antenna and get excellent reception for around 3000 sq feet [ it'll cost around 16k ]

this is the only indian companylink [i guess] that provides such a wireless booster , they are based in mumbai and the cost of the complete kit [ external antenna. booster, internal antenna ] costs around rs 18,000

they've got the kits starting from 18,000 rupees to around 6 lakh....

are u sure u wanna spend 18 k for signal amplification..???

if u dont wann a wireless solution u can go for an external antenna and connect it to ur fone using a cable instead of the internal repeater and booster [ it'll cost only rs 500]

check the link and mail them, the site is quite informative

@ naveen

the stickers u've seen on t.v are useless just crap so forget about it

so the cheaper option:

1-buy a uni-directional/omi directional external antenna
2-get a external antenna adapter for your phone
3-connect the phone to the external antenna using the adapter

and if u keep the antenna somewhere outside,a place with proper signal reception then the antenna will pick up the signal so u'll be able to call/gprs...

how much will it cost

hmm.....

the external antenna would cost 450 rupees

the fone adapter would cost 80 rupees

but finding the adapter would be hard ; if u are going for original sony adapter it will cost a few hundread rupees...

but
__________
i've heard that bsnl is also providing unlimited gprs for 350 per month [ only for postpaid users though]

so if u are only intersted in gprs get BSNL instead

hi, i have a transcend mp3 player and has bad radio reception.

so will attaching a ferrite core(not included) to its carry strap near the player's body increase reception?

also the wire u r asking to wrap around the player-should it be naked or insulated?
