Whenever i insert the DIGIT CD/DVD n navigate to Essentials or System (in Windows Explorer), it suddenly gives me a message " Strain of AD-ware xxx found, unable to clean the file".

Quick Heal is one of the best Antivirus. Strongly recommended to buy a copy of it. It's comparitively cheap + very very less system requirements + cleans almost all the viruses+ easy to use+ quick Heal Sensor does everything without any notification(cleans everything). It loads at the start-up.

Oh , spybot itself is a spyware as my NAV reports...
Eh? Its a false positive for sure.Spybot S&D is one of the very few clean free anti-spyware program available on the internet.
Either norton is giving you false warnings or malware has itself infected the spybot executable.

1) my experience says spybot is 'adware-free' :)

but do stay away from these  anti-spywares

2) regarding quickheal; no question its a pretty good anti-virus. but i think it has too many start-ups. some unrequired, like their quickheal msngr.

also after every scan it generates a hidden junk/log file QH32CHK, in EACH folder, which when totalled up, adds up to a lot of disk space.

i had pitted quickheal against avast and compared it for almost a week. after visiting nasty sites, i used to scan 'temp int files' and 'system32' folders with both. avast ended up detecting more virii !

and yes quickheal does scan for spyware too ! :D

Yeah dood I agree with you. But lemme make myself clear first, I was a liscenced user for my whole cafe for 3 years directly from Quickheal Antivirus, if you know better it is also known as Cat Computers. Anyways I used to pay them 'AMC' like royalty so that I could get virus-free pcs and free updates, but then one fine day my whole network collapsed, I was dumbstruck. When I called up the Qh guys they asked me wether was there any usefull data which I needed I said no then he said why take pain just format it  I was so angry that when he called the next time I just gave him tightly on da phone and told him not to bother me anytime in da future. They used to take money and just sit in their offices although their company policy told that they would visit every 3 months no one turned up until it was time of their licensce renewal. And as far as the Antivirus is concerned I dont think its that good the versions after the floopy validating, i.e. Online Validating, are cr@p I had used them but viruses used to pas through them un detected.

Abhi I dont mean any offence against you or Qh guys but if this is the condition when they have their whole office in our city what the hell of a service r they gonna give to ppl outta this city, I'm still wondering.
