program compatibility

hello,
i had a dos game in my old comp which was win98. but when i transferred it to my new comp(win xp) i found it very slow. so i tried program compatibility wizard which comes with the windows utilities. but i found no changes. does this program compatibility wizard really work?

But i use itunes for audio and powerdvd for video.

If ur program does not run correctly or properly after compatibility test then u visit the website of program's manufacturer and find out if there is any updated version of this program is available or not. Also u can visit the Microsoft website to find out any microsoft update, if any fix is available there.
