PROBLEM WITH NERO

I run nero 5.5.9.9 on 98SE.
i cant create VCDs now.
getting an error msg:

internal error in CVCDDoc::IsProperMediaItem:URL of file

sometimes it shows the msg that the format is not VCD compatibe(even if its MPG or DAT)and an error appears while encoding.
How to fix these two probs?
Which other software can i use for creating VCDs?

Hey I also faced some problems only with some dat files or mpg files i dunno but upgrading or downloading some plugins for mpg4 should work but still I had a video which gave me probs. So thats all I know.

Hey man djmykey's wrong..The problem can be solved. Just reinstall nero after complete unsinstallation. After nero is installed choose the wizard mode and then select cd-->Compile CD-->Video CD.
It already has some ready made folders. Dont bother about that.
Just go on dropping the file in dat format and it should support.
Finally burn the cd with the name of the film 8)

hmm the error should go with what h4ck3r said
but usually it doesnt matter what the file extension is
the file must be mpeg1 standard vcd compliant
and not ALL .dat's are standard VCD ....
i dunno how they work in the first place. .. but once ripped those files arent standard
so u will have to reencode using nero itself or tmpgenc !!

but i cant find the wizard mode.I searched nero CD too.only nero express n InCD r there.wat 2 do now?
