Hey Ppl,

I had installed Win XP and later installed Vista RC2 as dual boot....
Since I messed up with it, I decided to do a reinstall of Win Vista....
So, I booted into XP and then renamed the Windows folder of vista to Windows_(Since I couldn't delete it) and deleted all other Vista folders....(Users, documents and Prog Files)

Then I did a Vista reinstall in that drive. Then after installation, I tried to delete the old Windows_ folder, which is taking a huge amt of disk space (6Gb+). But it doesn't get deleted fro the disk(both from xp and vista)... The partition is Ntfs...

How do I delete the folder...

PS: I get access denied while trying to delete the folder...

Plz help

@khattam as you said that you have installed the vista in the same drive ,so there are only little chances to delete this folder without formating this drive by inserting vista or Xp CD/DVD ..
Wat you can do is get cd of any distro of linux that can run in live mode ...and than you might be able to delete that folder ..
wat other you can so is to search the google for a software that can delete these files ,
thats wat i think ...........i will be waiting for other better reply ..............

Hey man i have got something for you

If I need to format, I will not need to install XP\Vista CD, coz I'm using another Win XP, as mentioned above... so I can do it from there. And that did not help... because it says access denied... and it is not because explorer.exe or any other program's is locking it... Unlocker was not able to find anything locking it.
