The Blessed one
Beware! Follow this method only when you have no bookmarks in your newer Opera,or else you will lose them. IF you have any bookmarks(in newer one),then follow the Method2

Method 1
Before you start installing higher version of Opera, open the older version of Opera and go to Help>About Opera.
A page will be displayed.

Under the heading Paths, see for 'Bookmarks'. The default path is
D:\Program Files\Opera\profile\opera6.adr
Navigate to D:\Program Files\Opera\profile,in that folder, copy the file Opera6.adr to any location of your choice.

Now start installing newer version of Opera. After installation is done, again find Bookmarks path(in newer version) by Help>About Opera.
Navigate to the profile folder and paste the Opera6.adr from earlier version. If it asks you "Do you want to replace..."Click yes.

Method 2
If you have any bookmarks in newer version it is better do this way!
create back up of opera6.adr of both versions.

Open opera6.adr of older version in notepad.Copy all text.
Open opera6.adr of newer version in notepad and paste the text you had copied from older version.
Close notepad.Click 'Yes 'on save prompt.
