Presentation using Windows Media Player

While making a Power Point Presentation, through a LCD projector, all the slides are well visualised. However, when I play a video using the Windows Media Player, the controls are seen while the central screen is black through the projector. It is however seen normally on the laptop screen. Urgent help required to rectify this problem.
