portable harddisk problem

he hello-- i am in trouble with a portable hardisk--whenever i open the drive an error pops up saying windows explorer has encountered a problem and needs to close.we are sorry for the inconvenience-- i have used chkdsk command and it shows no error- and have scanned through kaspersky

Did you try that HD on some other machine?

its not accessible in other machines--the drive opens up but when i click on folder i get error that its not accessible

better option is to drop the hard disk fm abt a feet + go to seacare center(i suppose hdd is seagate?) get it replaced under warranty.
