My cousin is going to buy a new pc before pujas. He has a budet of 50K. pls suggest wat config sud be the best, he will be into gaming.Also needs a decent 5.1 speaker.

u can get a 7600GT for 11k. U would have to trade on the sound card. No need to go for expensive PSU as GF 7 series nd core2duo needs very less power nd even ordinary 400w is more than enough.

no way an XFX 7600GT would cost 13k!!!!Ive bought it for 11k. It may be still cheaper by now. U can even get the XFX XXX 7600GT for less than 13k. SOny DVDRW cost u around 2k nd nothin more. Seagate 250GB sata2 is under4k now.
For gamin its always a 5.1 thats recommented, even if the audio quality is for a good 2.1.
Palit 7600GT is for as low aw 8.5k.!!yeah it has become that cheaper. But better go for gud brand.

If he want to game then get atleast 7600GT for 10k. If he is a serious sole gamer then get atleast 7900GT for 17k.

Whatever you do don't get less than 2GB RAM.

Choose anything else as you want, make sure that the stuff can cope up.

if he spend 17k for the card nd 10 k for the me then there's nothin much left for other components. SO a 7600GT would be the best choice. AT max he can consider an ATI X1800GTO for 11.5~12k.

GPU is all that counts. For todays games A64 @ 2.4GHz + 7900GT > X2 + 7600GT for most games at most times

If he gets a 7900GT+2gb, it alone comes close to 30k. Then he can't even get a bare minimum proc, mobo, HDD, mon,cab,optical drive nd spkr for the remainin 20k.

AMD 64 3000 AM2 + A good ocable mobo + kb + mouse + CPU air cooling
total around 60k

or get core 2 duo and upgrade GPU after 6 months.
