please help!extreme prob with dvd

please help i have a pioneer dvd 115 dvd rom until recently it was working well but now the cd rom icon is not seen in the my computer,,also from the start there was a problem with it in windows xp,,i have done research work on the net but all users have the same problem but no solution,,,any computer wizard out there to help me out.



also can the digit team help me.

Try reconnecting the IDE and power cable of your drive.
OR
Maybe re-install motherboard (chipset) drives.

Finally, you could try re-installing Windows after a clean format.
