Planing to buy a new desktop...need suggestion

hi guys...am planing to buy a new desktop...i need it mainly for hardcore gaming and multimedia purpose... ma configuration is:

Intel core2duo 1.8 ghz
3 GB DDR-2 800mhz
intel 964 original mobo
n-vidia 256mb graphic card
a 19 inch LCD montior
4.1 speaker system....


plz suggest me more things and what shud i change in da above list...plz reply fast...thx

Never Go for 3 Gb Ram Either go for 2 GB or 4 GB....the 3rd gb wont help in addition to the performance acc to the structure of streamlining....
Plus Go for Nvidia 650 sli Board..Asus p5n-e sli is the best in this category....U can check this at tomshardware.com....965 BOARDS R GOOD BUT NOW age is catching them n they r getting outdated day by day...n p35 series is there but far too expensive n although that has arried but still havent left any impact...
Coming onto graphic card Nvidia 256 mb 8600gts is the best but if budget is concerned then u ca go for 8600gt as i have gone for it n believe my dear friend everygame runs as smooth as it can...
Never go for 4.1 sound system either go for 2.1 for Gaminers point of view or if u want a good sound system for a home theatre then go for 5.1...Logitech 530 n Creative Inspire 6060 r the best in this category...
