I have the following system

C2D 6750, Asus P5N-E SLI, 2 GB Transcend 800 DDR2 Ram, 250 GB Hitachi XFX 8800GT 512 MB, Zeb. Peace Cabinet, Cooler Master true Power 600W,
LG DVD-RW, Logitech Keyboard and iball laser mouse.

My system hangs at welcome screen. I think some driver is causing this problem. because when I boot into safe mode there is no problem. I tried removing all the programs from startup and when I removed NVCPL.exe the windows is starting normally. But again the entry gets enabled after booting.
I don't know if this is the problem.

Uninstall your current graphics card driver and then install the latest driver available for your card.:)
Did you try removing it from registry editor?

I had installed latest Forceware 169.21 drivers. I reinstalled it again but the problem persists. I think the problem is with NVCPL.exe only because when I uninstalled the display drivers the system started normally. Now I am going to install the default drivers that came with the card i.e 163.71 and check if the problem gets solved. but can anyone tell me how to remove the NVCPL.exe from startup, I have tried the msconfig but again it gets enabled.
