Well for starters what ver of Norton are you running? is it NIS or NAV? 07 I am assumming. unless you got 360. Also not a good idea to have more then one AV prog. noticed you have AVG as well. two will conlict with each other and their downloaded defintions. 3rd, because of #2 you got infected, try going to add/remove prog, remove any thing suspicous especially serachbars/ or assistants that you are not fimiliar with. look for ASK search something, is you noticed in your hijack log you have that (not a good thing). go to IE options clear your cookies and files (make sure there is a check in checkbox for files). reboot to safe mode with network. if you can get online try using internet explorer (I don't think Firefox works without some tweaking) go to www.ewido.net run the online scan(notice it is basically AVG). then reboot. if you are still having problems, please come back and let us know hardware you have.

Remove Norton with the NRT (norton removal Tool) www.symantec.com/nrt
then check out my post *www.thinkdigit.com/forum/showpost.php?p=519031&postcount=7 . this will help free up alot of error you may be getting. cuz it looks like certain norton services are running on your sys. Norton's a pain in the %&#!!! and a resource hog. as for AVG I'm sure they must have some sort of removal tool as well.

Oh you can try doing a clean boot as well (msconfig) and unchecking all STARTUP items, and going to SERVICES (tab) MAKE SURE THERE IS A CHECK in Hide all Microsoft services, then disableing all. Do you ever use MS messenger? you will actually have to open the program up and go to options and uncheck the box that says load at windows startup. this should put less strain on the system with all that useless crap running in the backround
