Nvidia geforce 7300LE v Asus geforce 8500GT

hey guys i'm planning on buying the 8500gt graphic card and i'm a bit thight on budget but i'm not sure if i can play games like GRID and Assasin's Creed reasonably smooth at mid/high settings then.
I currently own the geforce 7300LE and i can play these games smoothly on low settings

my pc specifications:
Dell Dimension E520

intel core duo 6320 @ 1.86Ghz (not that good)
2GB ram

investing on an 8500GT is not a food idea. Wait a bit and get a 9600GSO, when it hit 4k mark. Now its at 6~6.5k.
Or lower end HD 4xxx cards too ll be out soon. Get one with more performance/price at that time.
