I have a XFX 630i motherboard with on board 7150 graphics adapter and 2 Gb of ddr2 ram. I am running winxp on it.Now i am getting a Nvidia 6600GT for around 1K from my friend. Now my question is should i opt for the GPU (6600 one). Will there be any performance gain in gaming and overall system performance.I usually play games on 1024X768 resolution. I am running a P4 btw. One more thing what is the minimum power supply to run the card ; asi have only 300W SMPS. Plzzz help:confused::confused::confused:

6600GT will perform better ofcourse! Btw, u can go for latest 8 series from Nvidia or HD3XXX series from ATi. Their price tags are also attractive these days. Anyways, ur choice.
Well, i would recommend atleast 350W PSU and that too from a reputed brand like Antec or CoolerMaster!
See, try plugging in the card. If u encounter any hangups or weird problems.. :p...that means, PSU is the culprit!

Surelly a 6600GT is a gr8 buy for 1k, if u sure its not a faulty one.
7150<7300GS<7300GT<7600GS<=6600GT.
U can play most games @ med on it except for some games like Crysis.

And also on adding a card, ur shared ram will be freed as 6600GT has its own GDDR3 dedicated memory. But i doubt if ur PSu cud handle it or not.
If it doesnt, then get a 400W PSU for 400~450 bucks.

Are u kidding me.6600 gt performs way better.There is currently no IGP(yea even amd 3200) which can beat 6600 performance.
