Broken In
guys i m facing a problem.
i use xp pro sp2.
installed on c partition.
having 4 partitions all ntfs.
i want 2 format c partition.
for this i need xp or 2000 bootable disk.
so that i can format c by entering in dos.
plz tell me how 2 make xp bootable disk(cd)
hoping for sensible replies.

for u to format c: u cant simply do it in dos. u gat to restart your computer and insert the WinXP Pro or Home Edition CD in u r cd drive and boot from it. If u have brought u r self a LEGAL version of WinXP its already bootable. this is done at manufacturing time itself.

You cannot format the C: partition as i guess it wuld be the primary partition that contains 3 essential files.

remember ,you can't format NTFS by dos. if you have bootable xp cd,continue installation till the format option comes.
