Nokia to Apple: Blah Blah iPhone Killer Blah Blah You Suck

Nokia said they didn't care about the iPhone back when it was introduced, not even commented on it beyond a brief "smeh." Then, they presented their iPhone killer concept, a demo that looked and acted exactly like Apple's handset, even while it was "no competition for Nokia." Now they have announced they are "readying" the final product, code-named Tube. They showed it yesterday, while pooh-poohing on His Steveness' toy:

That SteveBallmerism was pulled out of his hat by Tom Libretto, vice president of Forum Nokia, talking about iPhone's sales, apparently forgetting that taller giants have fallen after similar words. Specially when he is conveniently ignoring that Apple's record volume is just one non-subsidized model that competes with your top of the line—handsets like the Nokia N95 and the N96—in just a handful of countries (and for the longest period of its lifetime, in only one market, which is not as big when it comes to mobiles like Europe or Asia.) LOL! How can such a huge company feel so threatened by one phone from one company?

Oh right, it's the phone. Poor Nokia.

    beware Apple....

and yes Nokia is really desperate for market share

p.s. I never knew that Engadget has acquired Gizmodo.. I always thought Gizmodo was a bunch of apple fanboys nothing more nothing less

yea..nokia should atleast market it in a more professional way rather than terming it direct as an "iphone killer"..btw is there nething left to kill of the iphone?? lest the 3.5 inch screen and the keypad less display theres nothing that hasnt been implementewd yet..recent phones from samsung and SE offer great touchscreens with better features and look good too..samsung in general have been ruling the roost with its brilliant concepts..

nokia however cant even bring out a touchscreen leave alone compete...so much with s60 touch...and by the time nokia comes out with its touchscreen concept(full of flaws..understandably..being a new concept)iphone will generate to the 3rd version and SE,samsung and Lg will be thriving on touchscreens..nokia sure need to catch up before its too late...

but one thing i need to give to apple..the fact tht they brought out the iphone..being their first step into the commnication industry..with only a few faults to talk about..kudos to them...nokia and sony..whenever they come up with a new platform waste the first two phones trying to eradicate the flaws..

Yeah, anyone who speaks in favour of Apple is a fanboy. We know. We get it.
