Nokia file upload

Hello friends
I would like to upload certain files from my computer to Nokia 6610i using a datacable.How can I upload a file from the computer to the phone and is there any necaessary format in which it is to be saved?I have certain sms messages in .txt format.

You can use the nokia PC suit. I also have a 6610i. I transfer my files using IR port , its quite slow but i can manage it. I guess its not possible to view .txt files in 6610i. May be try to send it using any sms messengers like Rediff bol or chikka from indiatimes. You can copy and paste it in the messenger and send it to your number .
