No Sound on Vista

I have an Acer Aspire 5920 laptop with Winows Vista Home Premium.There is no sound when i play my music files,Video files and no windows sounds.When I check from Acer HD Audio Manager and click the play button n the speaker Configuration the sound is heard.I recently installed an update for my GM965 Chipset.Plzz Help

Download the following driver and install it on your laptop : *www.acerpanam.com/synapse/data/7117/documents/AS5290_Audio_realtek_v6.0.1.5400.zip

Let us know if it works.
