New Gaming Rig - 135k

1. What is the purpose of the computer? What all applications and games are you going to run? (Be exact. Which games? Which applications? Avoid the word 'et cetera.' Vague answers like 'gaming' or 'office work' will not work.)
Ans: Latest games will be the most demanding task, like FH5, God of War, upcoming Starfield, etc

2. What is your overall budget? If you can extend a bit for a more balanced configuration, then please mention.
Ans: 135k max + extra for UPS & stand

3. Planning to overclock?
Ans: Doubt it makes sense for my budget

4. Which Operating System are you planning to use?
Ans: Win10

5. How much hard drive / solid-state drive space is needed?
Ans: 1TB SSD (have it)

6. Do you want to buy a monitor? If yes, please mention the screen size and resolution you prefer. If you already have a monitor and want to reuse it, then do mention the screen size and resolution of the monitor you have.
Ans: No, have 24" 1080p 144Hz freesync one, will upgrade to 2K 144Hz later

7. Which components you DON'T want to buy? i.e. which components you already have and plan on reusing?
Ans: Monitor, SSD, HDD (will buy later)

8. When are you planning to buy the system?
Ans: Soon as laptop is dying

9. Have you ever built a desktop before? Or, will this be done by an assembler?
Ans: Yes

10. Where do you live? Are you buying locally? Are you open to buying stuff from online shops if you don't get locally?
Ans: Bengaluru, have visited SP Road once, will go again.

11. Anything else which you would like to say?
Ans: Got quotes for the following for 135k:
i5 12400
Gigabyte B660M DS3H WiFi
2x16GB 3600MHz CL18 Corsair Vengeance
Zotac AMP 3070
NZXT C750
Lian Li Lancool II Mesh

And

R5 5600X
MSI B550M DS3H
2x16GB 3600MHz Corsair
Colorful Battleaxe 3070
Antec Neo Eco 750W Gold
Lian Li Lancool II Mesh

For me, the first one is almost a no brainer because of better quality parts like GPU & PSU, the presence of iGPU helps with future troubleshooting. Gigabyte DS3H series has been low end but considering 75W power draw at max load for i5 12400, I feel its good enough as B560 one was barely enough for the 115W i5 11400.

Also which UPS to consider? Thinking of APC 1.1kVA BX1100, also its difference compared to BVX1200.

Any suggestions for some CPU trolley or stand? Don't to keep it directly on floor, so some small stand to just lift it off the ground while having some extrusions to keep it on the stand. This looks good, but likely poor quality, can omit wheels: *www.amazon.in/MM-RETAILS-Adjustable-Computer-Multiple/dp/B08H1WVMKN

Thinking of Antec P12 fans for cabinet, 2TB 7200RPM HDD & 1TB Gen4 SSD (maybe Aorus one) as immediate future upgrades.

Suggestions appreciated.

get 16GB as of now. 32GB is overkill and waste if you are not into server hosting, VM, 3D Modeling tools etc.

Also, get a GPU which can run all games in Ultra settings @1080p. Getting a 4K optimized GPU for 1080p monitor is not a good option and will shoot the budget.

if u have time .wait till AM5 comes and it will be followed by gpus from both nvidia and amd probably late 2022. also "intel arc" should launch earlier than that right?

In many cases, I have seen my RAM usage while gaming hit 14-15GB, I keep Chrome in the background.

I will be jumping to 2K 144Hz in future, like in few months. So will use my current 1080p monitor till then. For 1080p gaming, 3060 would have sufficed. I also plan to buy a 4K TV after a year, maybe. Let's see.

i dont see no cpu cooler in that quota
Laptop is dying, display is gone, 1 USB port is malfunctioning for now & random black screen for few sec (even on ext monitor).

I will be using stock cooler for now, will upgrade if needed in summer. Bengaluru is relatively cool.

oh damn , then my comment is worth ignoring , but if u can u should wait for intel arc launch as it should be coming very early this year , possibly at the end of Q1 2022
.maybe alchemist would have better prices and performance

Let's see. If Intel GPUs were announced at CES, might have tried to wait.

Also yeah it will make sense to go for 1st build since they have igpu and these alder lake cpu's are outperforming and more future proof.
Also get 32gb ram makes sense imo I also have 16gb and it gets all used up when chrome is running in the background and game/other heavy software is also running.

3 year old

Today while playing God of War, at one point RAM usage shot to 15GB+ even though Chrome was closed & GoW was itself using 9GB+ RAM when I switched to Task Manager, game started stuttering a bit at that point. I then closed Discord to gain back some RAM. So I feel for me 32GB is easier to justify. Also, 2x16GB is cheaper than 4x8GB.

avoid the bx1100,the bvx 1200 seems better than the former atleast on paper,as it does have a working AVR which will adjust the voltage to normal levels if its outside the safe limits.

Bx1100 claims to have avr but its false advertising (As i have verified from trusted sources)-it doesn't have a proper avr and therefore even outputs the line voltage when it goes all the way upto 260-270v without trimming it down to normal 220/230V range.

What about future battery replacement? The BX one apparently has easily available batteries also has longer runtime on battery:
APC Easy UPS BVX 1200VA, 230V, AVR, India Sockets - APC India
APC Back-UPS 1100VA, 230V, without auto shutdown software, 5 India outlets (1 surge) - APC India

Any other viable option in India for 1kVA+ UPS?
