New Amd config, help

I hav to suggest a new system for my cousin, decided:

Amd athlon 64 x2 3800+
Asus A8n-E deluxe
2*512 mb coresir value select 2.5 cl
xfx 6800gs 256mb pci-ex.
Wsten Digital Caviear SE 250 Gb (16 mb buffer)
sony/liteon/Asur dvd writer ( suggest which one)?
Ups 600va/800va (suggest good one)?
LCD LG/Samsung 17"/19" (suggest which is better) ?


wht do you all think abaut this config........budget not at all a problem, system is not for gaming. one more thing, is Asus A8n-e support ddr2?
What is the cost of mobo DFI Lanparty ut nF4-sli DR?

ASUS a8n-e doesnot support DDR2

for 19inch monitors SAmSUNG
and for 17inch LG

for DVD riters always LiteOn

FYI, no mobo that supports AMD CPU comes with support for DDR2. Its only supported by Intel chipsets and that too the later ones. 8)

Take Leadtek ehich is better than XFX.If Leadtek is not available go for XFX.

Take Liteon DVD writer.

LCD's are not for gaming and the clarity will also be less.Samusung latest models have good features.17" is enough for home users.

17k for 6800GS ????? Are you sure you wanna spend so much on that card ?
Cos its definitely not worth it.
Stay away from LiteOn DVD Writer.
Buy BenQ or LG Drive,far better than Litey Shit.

well i have the same question abt heating of Amd processor, but later on i get to know that new Amd processor (venice core, revised ) are much cooler then Intel.

the dual cores are not venice core.....

Firstly, friends the temperature does not depend that much on core as much on the Die Size,

AMD's right now are 90nm and so are the intels, but there is more to it, and Almost all AMD procy's today are much cooler than the intel counterparts...

The 3800+ X2's are Manchester core, and runs very cool,

The dual cores never came in venice, winchester, newcastle cores etc.... these are made in different cores.

So please dont get confused in cores buddy, there is no reason to think that all NEW AMD's are venice core, it's only the new 3200+, 3500+ etc...

even from 3800+ we get San Diego core which is better than Venice, more L2 cache.....
