Hi,

At present I have BSNL telephone connection and Sancharnet dial up access.
I browse mostly at offpeak hours. But still phone bill is high.

So I need your opinion, Is there any very cheap/economical alternative. :?:

I don't need any broadband connection atleast for next 2 months as it requires extra hardware expenses.

Thanks for reading.

Bsnl(sancharnet) is the cheapest internet found. I also use it and my fone bill comes 2000-2200 Rs.

get another telephone line for a monthly rent of rs. 499 or 399 im not sure but not more then this. u wont have o/g calls but ull have a dedicated line only 4 net. by this way u only have to pay for acess charge. (ie ISP charges 5.25/- per hour)

yup.. Mangal Pandey is right about the 499/399 plan.. & now days dialup ISPs have unlimited plans also... which suggest that 7 to 15 RS per day for unlimited...

if u wud like to go for "broadband" instead of dialup, then i wud recommend airtel, as starter pack, u cud go for 128 kbps, Rs:600 unlimited with no free calls. seems cheaper to me than any other broadband conx available in india.(thou 128 is not strictly a broadband! :) )
