as far as i remember in your last post i had suggested a complete config for u ... but here it goes again,

Intel Pentium 4 3.0 Ghz LGA-775
MSI 915P motherboard
XFX/Leadtek/Gainward 6600 GT 128 MB
256*2 DDR 400 Mhz RAM - Kingston/Corsair/Zion
Liteon DVD-RW
17" Samsung 710n LCD
or
17" Samsung Magic brite 2
Min. 400W smps (antec,coolermaster)
Good chasis (antec preferred)
Seagate 160 gb sata with N.C.Q
Logitech Keyboard/Optical mouse

now some suggestions.

 dont go for for 3.2 ghz as there will be only marginal difference in perfomance which will not be worth the extra dough.

 go for a seagate drive , they are better than the competition. and have good service all over india.

 You wont get good ram in raipur but you can contact me if you want to get it ordered from elsewhere.

Samsung Magic bright 2 17" - around 8,200/-

see first plz decide if you want to go for ddr 2 ram or ddr ram ... 512 mb of ddr 2 ram from kingston is for around 7-8,000/- (533 Mhz) . this makes it very expensive but then if you want the latest on an intel platform you will have to go for ddr 2 ram as all the new chipsets post 915 are compatible onl with ddr2. so decide and lemme know.

also plz post your total budget for the system. this way i can suggest better. the latest chipsets from intel are 945,955 which are not available in india. these are for the dual core intel pentium d processors. these will take atleast 1 or 2 months more to be available in india on demand.

120 gb seagate sata hdd wll cost around 3500 bucks. and again i already have suggested you go for the 160 gb sata as there is not much price difference. for the processor also (single core) 3.2 ghz is not recommended. it will only generate more heat. go for a 3.0 ghz processor. for price of msi boards in raipur contact merlin multitech. if u decide to go for ddr ram then go for a 915p chipset and dont go for a board with onboard vga , as these boards dont perform realllllly well in games.

well mohit now as i hav already told u my budget.so temme which config i shud opt?i guess MSI 915p combo is gud as it has both drr and drr2 so dat in future if i wanna go for ddr2 wen price comes down i can.eva 915g combo has da same feature.well i hav MSI RS480M2 mobo and i wanna change it as now i'll b goin for a 6600gt card so i wanna hav betta mobo which one is da best for AMD3000+(939 soc).K8N Neo4 Platinum,K8N Neo-FI wat do u think bout dez 2 mobo?

see as i told u in our chat yesterday , that lets not think of ddr2 right now ... i think for the intel system you shud go for this asus P5-GD1 board based on the 915P chipset but if you insist od DDR2 then go for the MSI 915P Combo ... but i think the asus will offer better perfomance. and the combo boards dont support higer frequencies of ddr2 memory , so no use going for them and you cannot also use ddr and ddr2 memory at the same time without issues. according to your budget of 45k for the mobo,procc,hdd,ram,monitor,pci-e grafix card i suggest the following,

Monitor 19" Samsung - 12,000/-
256*2 512 MB DDR 400 Mhz RAM (Kingston/Corsair) - 3500/-
Intel Pentium 4 3.0 Ghz lga-775 - 9,000/-
Asus P5GD1 Motherboard - around 7,000/-
Seagate 160 Gb SATA N.C.Q - 4,000/-
XFX/Leadtek 6600GT 128 MB - 11,000/-

Total - 46,500/- (this is the max. price maybe things will go below this)

Now coming to your AMD machine , well the MSI K8-NEO-4 Platinum rocks and is a very good board . it costs around 9,000/- bucks . Another option is the Asus A8N-E board. both these boards are based on the nvidia nforce4 ultra chipset and will offer great perfomance when coupled with a 128 Mb 6600 gt card.
