Guys I've 2.4GHZ Intel(HT) processor running on Intel's 865GBF motherboard and now i want to change my cabinet for better cooling system. now, the first thing i want to know is, which cabinet do i buy(my budget for cabinet and power supply is max 2K ) and how many watts cabinet do i need so that I can add a good graphics card?? and second but the most important question is does these new power supply units have different power plugs from the older ones which might not fit in my Intel's 865GBF motherboard's power socket..

lookin forward to some replies... hope u guys will help me out from this problem of mine

Thanks in Advance

For hardcore gaming , ur budget is not enough.
Don't go for local made or unbranded SMPS. Look for at least 500 W SMPS from CoolerMaster or Cossair or Zebronics. They are expensive, but worth of it. lLocal made or unbranded SMPS not only affect performance , but can cause damage to ur mobo.
Look for cabinates from Zebronics.Don't fall for small form factor cramped boxes.Look for largest & airy cases with atleast 2 fans (or u can buy fan separately & attach it) or go for a server case.

CoolerMaster iGreen 500W= Rs 6500/-
Zebronics 500W = Rs 3500/-
Crossair 620 W= Rs7200/-

Cabinates:
Zebronics= start from 1500/- to 4500
CoolerMaster = start from Rs 5000/ - to Rs 13500/-

Dude, I'm not much into gaming but do play games sometimes and I think I'll look for zabronics as u mentioned, but what about the PSU's power plug, does all these new and high end PSU's compatible with my Intel D865GBF motherboard's power socket.. If anyone could enlighten me on that part of the question, it would be a great help..

PSU's power plug have not changed in last few years , they would plug the power with standard power cord, mobo gets power supply via PSU converted to 12v so old or new it will power the mobo.

Whoa...Corsair (and not Crossair) retails for around 7,500/- on newegg.com and this price varies from 6,500/- to 7,500/- on other international online shops. Does that mean Corsair 620 W is retailing in India on at-par (or better) price than international prices?

About Power Connector - dont worry
the power connector from PSU has 2x2 & 2x10/12 connector, just see the pic, the last part is removable, that is "Backward Compatible"

btw wat is the form factor of your m/b.
for other zebronics cabinet - *www.zebronics.net/gamingcabin.asp

Zebronics Platinum 500W is bout 2k nd its the Diamond one thats up at 3.5~4k.
As of ur needs a platinum would do nd Diamond is for some serious worx like SLI of high end cards.
Platinum is also their high end ones, but with less features.
U can get Zeb antibiotic for about 1.8k without its 400W SMPS.

one thing..
if at this time u go for the agp card ..then also
u ll not be able to play most of the games...
of coolling..when i play some heavy games..i prefer to open the cabinet..
then keeping it closed..some people have probs with open cabinets..
they have some fear ..dont knw of what...those noobs..

also after updating the graphics drivers u ll be able to most of the games..
like i m playing pop nwadays, and i ve played nfs mw,doom3,nfs u,nfs u2,farcry..and many games without graphics card.

so why to waste money in agp card when they r on the verge of
becoming extinct..hope u get what i m trying to say..

Get Powersafe 500W Gold PSU @2500-3000 (On 3 Feb it was 2.7k) with 3 yrs Warranty.

How is powersafe quality?. Are they reliable?. Seems like a local company to me.

thanx for the update but still i say ..why to adopt old technology
when new is available..also that agp card will be priced high..thats for sure..
also the bandwidth of agp is lower than pci-e..so at this time investing in
the agp is not worthwhile...
