Need software to rip DVD

where can i get free software that rips dvd's. mpeg4 would be ideal since i have to play it on my palm during a flight, but mpeg will also do, becoz i can change it later.

it is ofcourse a freeware.
The rippingis fast ,convertibg to mpeg takes time & it depends on the length of the video.

It uses TMPGEnc to convert to mpeg.

already started with eazy vcd. in normal mode, with VCD output,a movie of 2 hours, how much time should it take ?

tehn i'll convert to mpeg-4 using kinoma

but it got a little problem with region locked dvd's
some of the mpeg's were of streched attributes.(the width of the video was increased)

but still i use it. its the best one out here.

that's normal..it takes a hell lot of time... but the results are amazing..
esp the sound quality!!
