need mobo+proccy+gfx combo @ 30k

My friend is planning to buy motherboard, proccy and gfx card and budget is 30k.
It should be atleast future proof for 2-3 years and preferably an i7 config.
Presently he is suing 400W psu .Is it sufficient? else also suggest a psu which can handle this config.

Im also planning to buy a 5.1 speaker system @5k and i fixed on X540. I need a usb based sound card which can handle this speakers and price should be kept low

thx in advance.

I will be going tommarow(tuesday) mostly for this purchase.

with i7/i5/AMD Phenom IIs, DDR3 ram needed. does he have it? also a better PSU needed. i7 is not possible. AMD Phenom II X4s can be purchased.

oh sad he doesnot have ddr3 ram. So its comes to buying a new system rather than upgrade

and sam.shab can you suggest a good usb based sound card but price should be lower.


what about dropping gfx card and mobo with integrated gfx? now it fits 30 or 35k?

sam is right , for core i7/i5 hell need a larger budget, i tried a i7 con fig too but it crossed 35k as well.

and i7 930 is just not possible with graphic card. ull need upwards of 50k for that.

you can at the max get phenom 2*4 955 at that budget and g.card.... i7 or i5 is not even imaginable at that price point....

hmm thanks for the suggestions guys . He postponed the purchase ..for increasing the budget.

what about usb based sound card which support logitech x540?
