    Hi friends,
I desperately need to know weather the GEFORCE4 Ti 4600 is better or is the GEFORCE4 5600 better in performance and price. I have a AMD ATHLEON 2400XP PROCESSOR WITH 256 DDR AND AN MSI MB WITH 32 MB ONBOARD VRAM. WHICH OF THESE TWO CARDS WILL BE BETTER SEEING THE FUTURE OF ONCOMING GAMES LIKE DOOM3 AND COUNTER STRIKE SOURCE. I WILL BE HIGHLY OBLIGED. I OWN A COMPUTER GAMING PARLOUR AND HENCE NEED TO GET THE RIGHT INFO AS I WILL BE BUYING IN BULK QUANTITIES. THANKS IN ADVANCE,
    A FRIEND IN NEED.

An FX5600 is DirectX 9 compliant, but in pure performance, its lower than the Ti4200. My suggestion is to get an FX5700 non ultra, from ennyah or a similiar company, or an ATi radeon 9600. Both will cost roughly 7-8k, if I am right.

9600 non-Pro or get a Ti4600. I have been using a Ti4600 and in DirectX 8.1 games, the Ti4600 beats even a 9600 Pro. but, when it comes to latest games, 9600 takes the lead. but, take it from me, Ti4600 will play the latest games at good resolutions, albeit without the DirectX 9.0 eye-candy.

I have played Far Cry on my card, and its good. Not as good as a 9600, but good.

first tell the prices for which you are getting.
If you can't get anything less than radeon 9700 or radeon 9600pro then rather go with ti 4600.
