Need help with message on desktop at startup

Need help with message on desktop at startup
Am using WinXP Pro SP2
Since yesterday after start on the desktop there apears a message :
ERROR : loader could'nt initilize service!
What service is referred to.
Even after this message everything is working fine.
The only thing missing is the DAP icon on the taskbar even though it is in the start menu and was appearing previously.
Need help to resolve this.

you could go to start->run -> and type msconfig
then look under 'startup'. you'll get a list of all services that initialize during starup. (i'm assuming that the error is with a program, and not with one of windows services). then look under task manager, and see which one of those services are not running, but are listed under startup. that should firstly help identify the problem.

Thanks a lot for your suggestion which I received a little late.
This problem started after I uninstalled Spybot 1.3 and installed ver 1.4. There was clash with DAP.
Anyway I uninstalled both DAP & Spybot and reinstalled both again.
Now everything is fine.
Shall remember your suggestion. Thanks once again.
