Need help with configuring domain and hosting!

I have a x10hosting account, .co.cc subdomain, and an everydns account. I read a couple of tutorials at shubhspace.co.cc but messed up the settings somehow. Can someone experienced with hosting help me on yahoo messenger/google talk?

Use bytehost. Gels the best with co.cc. No need of everydns.

Okay, got that, I think I can do without everydns even in x10hosting, because it provides a nameserver on its own. Still, I need help for configuring my first webhost

Ok, I'll ask my questions here.

My nameservers are:
ns1.x10hosting.com
ns2.x10hosting.com
My server IP address is:
74.86.xxx.xxx

I first changed the domain in my webhost as "*dheerajkumar.co.cc" and the cpanel points to "*dheerajkumar.co.cc:2082" automatically. So I think the configuration at the host's end is done.

I have three pics showing my co.cc settings. Need help on what to type where.

I can have A, NS, MX and CNAME records. My requirements are simple -
1. Set up co.cc so that I can display the pages at my webhost.
2. Set up co.cc so that I can access the site with or without the www prefix.

bump... come on people! there are so many out here with their own website, and some hosters here too!

a)go to Addon domains in cPanel and add the co.cc domain name you registered

b)go to everyDNS/co.cc control panel and add 2 A-records one for www.example.co.cc and other for example.co.cc usin same IP address assigned to you

2. Set up co.cc so that I can access the site with or without the www prefix.

go to Redirects section in Cpanel and select

it is usually good practise to keep hosting, DNS and domain name registrar independant of each other - so i prefer using EveryDNS

Just fill in this window with the Nameservers and you should be good to go

EDIT: I see *dheerajkumar.co.cc works to x10hosting and *dheerajkumar.co.cc/cpanel points to cPanel. In that case, your site is working normallly as far as i can see

yes your site is already working and name servers have propagated

the www redirect will be done in cpanel or by editing the .htaccess file....in ur root

Yeah I just put the nameservers in the box and around 8 hrs later it started working... Thanks guys!
