Hi,
One of the vendor's in Lamington is giving me 512 DDR 400 Mhz Hynix for 2000 only.
Should i buy this one or should i buy Kingston or Transcend ?
How much will or should be the price difference between Hynix and the big boys ?

Kingston --> Transcend --> Hynix. and sms_solver is correct, u wont get a Hynix ram for such low price, be sure b4 u buy. the ram could be having some problems.

Aashu , Get this months issue of CHIP and see in the hardware reviews. They have tested a 256 mb 400 Mhz Kingston DDR RAM and given a nice rating and also the price mentioned in the mag is around 2000/- for the same. I think you might get it for lesser as the magazine prices are always higher than the actual prices of the product. There is one fault in their review though , they have given the wrong contact info of the seller , his correct email address is primeservices@vsnl.com and in the mag it is printed as vsnl.net . Also the seller is a very famous seller from Lamington Road and he sells memory worth crores each year .......just for the info

Most probably the vendor is offering you a used
memory stick.Have you ever dealt with this vendor
in the past?Do you trust him?Is he offering a warranty?
If yes then go for it cos 512mb hynix for 2k is too cheap.
And talkin bout big boys even Hynix is no kid in the memory market.Hynix ram is very reliable and i think they offer a 3 year warranty also.

I have bought 2*256=512MB Kingston DDR 400 Mhz here at Raipur for 3700/- (all inclusive). The RAM rocks , overclocked it to 2.5-3-3-6 while the rated was 3-3-3-8 and it has 5 years warranty. Dont know about Corsair.

They are a hell overclockers and most popular in US.

Can you get me the delears contact details and which OCZ ram sticks is he providing.

just check if he has OCZ DDR400 PC3200 Platinum Rev2 they are the best
overclockers.

Also is it possible to get the rams in mumbai i am just curious to know.

Also wanted to ask where in mumbai can get Corsair DDR400 PC3200
and if anyone can give me a idea how much is it overclockable.

Please pradeep_chauhan do let me know about OCZ i am eagerly waiting.

Hynix DDR400 PC3200 with Hynix D43 & D5 Chips are also good and
overclockable, Read Darklords post he has overclocked it to a high extent
his experiment has changed my view about Hynix.

Some Overclocking i tried with my new A64 !!
