I had installed Trial Version of Office 2007 on my MS Office 2003. Today when I uninstalled it, my Outlook 2003 is not running. I get a message that says:

Cannot start Microsoft Office Outlook. MAPI32.DLL is corrupt or the wrong version. This could have been caused by installing other messaging software. Please reinstall Outlook. OK

Why don't you reinstall OutLook 2003 ?

Also you can try SFC, but I am doubtful that it will restore same version of MAPI32.DLL which is required by OL 2003.

Ok I made it to work

I tied reinstalling/repairing/uninstalling+reinstalling Outlook but it did not work...

So I unistalled all the MS Office applications, including the MS Office 2007 deleted the Office Folder and reinstalled MS outlook 2003 and now it is working.

I wanted the MS Outlook as Outlook 2007 is heavy and would crash and does not offer any extra benefits.

==========================================================

I HATE the RIBBONS in Office 2007. I am a keyboard guy, and Office 2007 got all these NEW Key board shortcuts and they have changed the menu as well. Some time before i was doing something in Excel and could not find an action. I knew the keyboard shortcuts by-heart in Excel 2003, and now i could not do something very elementary.

MS Office 2007 only adds bells and whistle and does nothing effective to add to the functionality except for some Mouse guys to uses the Ribbons and finds it comfortable.

Beware of the innocent
much more stable, I understood. The change in user interface is not just bells and whistles. It is more of a major change in the way users will interact with their systems in future. Since this is the first time it has some problems which need to iron out. But as more applications use the interface, all these issues will be sorted out. For all we say negative about microsoft, you can be sure that they will continue to surprise.
