Movies not playing !

My friend has a P4 system with this mainboard (Mercury)
PI845GVM-AGP V5.0

He bought a XFX 6200 128 MB 64 bit graphics card
After installation of this card.. tried with several driver versions but
no movies/videos are playing.. tried with several players viz. WMP, QT, PowerDVD. The player stops responding.
Game playing is ok.

Help.

Uninstall you're drivers and install an older version. Preferably v77.77

Didn't help. Tried 77.77, 81.85 but problem not solved

although i m using a Geforce FX card, but no such problem here with video playback, using 81.89 drivers, they came out yesterday

Try 71.89, it worked for me!

unistall the card, Restart , install the card and try first the drive came in the CD or whatever available on the official site.
Also the problem can be of CODEC, .. u might have to download a pack of codec from the net
