During startup,
A message says,
"PXE-E05: The LAN adapter's configuration is corrupted or has not been initialized. The Boot Agent cannot continue."
I think the problem started after installing the zone alarm firewall.
How to solve this problem?

This error generally occurs when the adapter's EEPROM is corrupted.
Try these few steps:
1. Go to BIOS->Settings->Reset all settings to default( look for this option inside the setup utility)

2. Go to BIOS after Resetting->Change the Boot Order as FDD>HDD>CD/DVD.
Try to keep LAN at the bottom or exclude it from boot devices.

This should be only used if everything else fails::eek:
3. Get a BIOS flash update from your Motherboard Manufacturer, update the bios. This way, corrupted area will get replaced. ( Do this extremely cautiously).

Hope it Helps:

Beware any current fluctuations during Flashing BIOS, your motherboard is gone!!
Also remember updating the BIOS should be used under extreme conditions.
If ZA is blockingthe access you must add it to the trusted zone. You must configure ZA.
Try disabling it and connect to the Net. See if it works. If it does work. That means you
have not configured ZoneAlarm properly.
