i just bought a card reader to use for a 512 MB mmc in my Nokia N70.when i try to copy files into the card or try to format it, it says : disk write protected : as in the case of a CD drive.there's no such problem when i use pc suite and data cable.
    plzz help.

    >>when ever u remove mmc from mmc reader do it properly, directly taking out may give rise to this problem.
    >>directly connect the mmc reader to usb port, don use any usb hub or extension in between
    >>also happens with NCP banded cards( a local manf.).. they are manf. problem
    >>if using xp use sp2 and use windows default driver and sometimes mmc software is not compatable with os if the mmc is local banded

Make sure the card is not password protected from your cell.

I don't think thats the problem. If the card had password, it wouldn't even have showed up on pc.

Btw @shidhin4ever, try formatting your card in your cell and then use it in the card reader. If that doesn't help, try formatting the card in some other phone like 6600, 3230, etc. and then use in card reader.
